Throwing Athlete

We have physical therapists and athletic trainers on staff specialized in working with throwing athletes of all ages. In addition to the components and programs listed below, our staff will work closely with your coach to assure appropriate and timely return to activity.

Components include:

  • Free injury screenings
  • Prevention/Performance Programs
  • On-site throwing cage
  • Specialized video analysis equipment

Core and Cuff Program
The Core and Cuff Program focuses on strengthening the primary muscles of the rotator cuff working on strength and endurance of muscles, and the scapula stabilizer helps give the shoulder girdle a strong foundation to work from. The last component is the core trunk muscles, which transfer the power from the legs and trunk to the arm to help improve bat and arm velocity and help prevent injuries.

Injury Rehabilitation
Traditional Physical Therapy and Athletic Training services are provided for the rehabilitation of injuries related to baseball. We will also be seeing patients for non-baseball related problems.

Individualized Baseball and Softball Performance Programs
These programs are designed for performance enhancement and injury reduction. It is a very specialized program, and it is not appropriate for all players.
