Christy Nielsen, PT, DPT
Christy graduated from Creighton University in 1998 with Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Exercise Science. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Creighton University in 2001. She has been at Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital since 2003. Christy’s emphasis is in the treatment of running injuries and endurance athletes. She is certified in Kineseotaping and does personal training with running athletes and others. Christy has been instrumental in the development and operation of NOH’s Optimum Stride program for running athletes. Christy was a Missouri Valley Conference top 10 and all academic conference award winner while running cross country for Creighton University. She has continued her running career with over 30 marathons, a 50-miler and multiple other races. She has qualified for the 2000, 2004 and 2008 Women’s Olympic Marathon Trials.
