Sports Medicine

Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital’s Physical and Occupational Therapists provide a variety of Sports Medicine services to competitive and recreational athletes at all levels. Our staff includes therapists with additional credentials including Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCS) to assist in providing athletes a high level of care in injury prevention, rehabilitation, as well as sports specific training. We work closely with referring physicians to develop individualized treatment programs to allow injured athletes to return to their sport as quickly and safely as possible, while minimizing the risk of reinjury.

Our staff provides consultative services to several organizations throughout the community, including monthly injury screenings at Scheel’s, on site visits to Ballet Nebraska, and preventative screenings at Frozen Ropes. Our therapists give presentations to numerous teams and organizations on injury prevention and related topics.

Our facilities include over 13000 square feet of rehab space for athletes to progress from immediate post injury/surgery care all the way through end stage sport specific drills and training. We have a SwimEx therapy pool as well as a full line of exercise machines and equipment to assist in rehabilitation of sports related injuries.
