About Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital

Opening in April 2004, Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital was the region's first hospital dedicated to the complete care and treatment of the orthopaedic patient. Licensed as an acute care hospital by the State of Nebraska, Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and is certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services. This means that we are able to provide care for individuals who participate in these government sponsored programs.

Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital specializes in the diagnostic, surgical and rehabilitative needs of persons with musculoskeletal conditions. Our facilities were designed to be state-of-the-art and are focused on high quality, cost effective, patient-centered care. Our staff was chosen because of their experience in orthopaedics and passion for outstanding patient care.

In addition to general orthopaedic care, many of our surgeons sub-specialize and have completed fellowships in a variety of areas including: sports medicine, joint replacement, hand and upper extremity, foot and ankle and spine care. They are supported by physicians from a variety of other specialties including: internal and family medicine, cardiology, pathology, radiology and anesthesiology. These physicians assist with your care during your entire stay.

All of the orthopaedic surgeons who practice at Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital maintain their own private practices which are independent from the hospital. While maintaining a close working relationship with Nebraska Orthopedic Hospital, all of the surgeons work at hospitals and other facilities throughout the region. A Unique Partnership

Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital is a unique partnership that was developed to bring practicing orthopaedic surgeons together with the leading academic medical center in the region. Through this ongoing collaboration we are able to identify and focus on the elements that make for a great health care environment. That means, we can provide an outstanding patient experience and clinical outcomes.

You have the right to choose the provider of your health care services. Although we believe that Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital will be able to meet your needs, you have the option to use a facility other than Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital. You will not be treated differently by your physician if you choose to use a different facility; however, your physician may not be able to perform your procedures at an alternative facility if he or she does not maintain privileges at such facility. If desired, your physician or any staff member can provide information about alternative health care providers.
